EXPLORING NATURE BOOK CLUB

FIRST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH
1:30 - 3 P.M.

 

This monthly discussion group is facilitated by different group members each month and meets from September through June. Books are chosen twice a year by group members.

Books to be discussed in 2025:

  • March 4th: Slime: How Algae Created Us, Plague Us and Just Might Save Us, by Ruth Kassinger 

  • April 1st: National Poetry Month - share a favorite nature-themed poem

  • May 6th: The Backyard Bird Chronicles by Amy Tan 

  • June 3rd: The Service Berry, by Robin Wahl Kimmerer 

  • September 2nd: Natural: How faith in Nature’s Goodness Leads to Harmful Fads, Unjust Laws, and Flawed Science, by  Alan Levinovitz 

EVENING:

NIGHT OWL BOOK CLUB

THIRD TUESDAY OF THE MONTH
7 - 8:30 PM

This monthly discussion group is designed for people who can't make the daytime book club. Books are chosen twice a year by group members. Meetings held via ZOOM.

Books to be discussed in 2025:

  • March 18th: Slime: How Algae Created Us, Plague Us and Just Might Save Us, by Ruth Kassinger 

  • April 15th: National Poetry Month--Share a favorite nature-themed poem

  • May 21st: The Backyard Bird Chronicles, by Amy Tan 

  • June 17th: The Service Berry, by Robin Wahl Kimmerer
